Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Without an account, your playbooks are stored only on your device. An account (Sign in with Google or Apple) lets you sync across devices and share playbooks with a team.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Account & Sign-In → Delete Account. The app shows what will happen to your playbooks and teams before you confirm, and the deletion happens right away. The Privacy Policy explains what is deleted.
How do I export or back up my playbooks?
Open a playbook and tap Share / Print to export or print it. On a team, Owners and Admins (and anyone the team allows to export) can export any play; other Editors can export the plays they created.
How do I remove someone from my team or Team View?
Team Owners and Admins can remove members on the Team screen, and can disconnect Team View guests on the playbook's Guest View screen.
Why can't I take a screenshot in the iOS app?
The iOS app is built to block screenshots and screen recordings, to help keep playbooks from being copied. The web app doesn't.
Who can use Roots Playbook?
Anyone. You can use the app on your device without an account at any age, and players can view their team's playbook with a Team View link or code from their coach, using just a first name or nickname. Accounts, which use an email address, are for people 13 and older. Roots Playbook is offered in the United States.
